The objective of the coordinator is to assist veterans or the dependents of veterans, with the application and certification process as well as to develop and maintain outreach programs for veterans and dependents of veterans within the community. This holistic approach addresses the veterans (or dependents of veterans) completely. The Veterans Coordinator acts as a liaison with the Regional Processing Office. This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans’ Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295. Certain service members may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.
