The primary role of the VDC Coordinator is to help facilitate the successful implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling), technology, and related processes. This key position in the VDC group focuses on helping manage and produce models and providing technology-related services and knowledge to the construction and project management teams. Primarily, the VDC Coordinator helps create, obtain, evaluate, coordinate, and distribute 3D BIM models for use by construction. They work as part of the Gray teams, interacting with owners, architects, and engineers to facilitate collaboration and communication during preconstruction through the use of BIM/VDC processes. They also work with subcontractors, architects, and software vendors to facilitate collaboration and communication during construction through BIM/VDC processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a degree from a Technical College
  • 0-5 years in the AEC industry
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Design Suite
  • Basic understanding of construction principles
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and e-mail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Capable of independent thought and work
  • Must be physically present in the Lexington, KY area
  • Travel may be required

  • High achiever striving to exceed expectations in a fast-paced innovative company

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Field and/or MEP
  • Knowledge of programs such as Assemble, Fuzor and similar programs

Responsibilities
