This role is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of the Division’s comprehensive training and development strategies. The coordinator ensures that appropriate fiscal, human, and physical resources are in place to support staff development and training delivery. This position involves developing and implementing detailed plans, recommending policies and procedures, and conducting research to inform learning initiatives. The coordinator will also manage assigned budgets, identify training needs, and make strategic recommendations to enhance performance and organizational development. They will supervise project teams, recruit team members, develop project plans, and ensure effective teamwork and high standards of work quality. Additionally, the role involves leading and participating in multidisciplinary project teams, representing the division in various meetings and initiatives, and contributing to the management team's strategic direction. The coordinator will prepare reports with recommendations for operational processes, staffing levels, and resource allocation, and handle confidential information. A key aspect is ensuring high-quality customer service through improvement strategies, including communications, training, public education, and technological advancements. The coordinator will also develop and implement divisional staff training plans, integrate legislative and policy changes, and coordinate the development and delivery of training aligned with corporate strategic direction and divisional priorities. This includes researching and evaluating training providers, coordinating and facilitating internal and external training programs, and designing computerized tracking processes for attendance and completion. The role also involves evaluating training programs for quality and effectiveness, delivering and facilitating training, and analyzing evaluation and needs assessment data. Finally, the coordinator will develop and implement communication and promotional strategies for divisional initiatives and staff training, and coordinate the distribution of documentation and website content.
