About The Position

The Supply Chain Coordinator reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is based out of our Seabrook, NJ location. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. Key areas of focus include developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 1-3 years experience in a supply chain role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel superuser, preferred)
  • Previous experience with ERP system
  • Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the food/beverage industry (a plus)
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment (a plus)
  • Ability to direct, coach, and train others.
  • Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify requirements based on MRP forecasting for packaging and ingredient materials.
  • Order packaging, ingredients, and variable materials from approved suppliers.
  • Process and reconcile purchase orders and confirm that deliveries meet MRP forecast.
  • Process and maintain daily production schedule for three-shift operations. Includes the management of schedule exceptions to ensure materials are available for production.
  • Work with the corporate scheduler to make necessary schedule adjustments due to changes in the forecast or material availability as needed.
  • Use the QAD system to verify POs have been received for invoice processing. Redirect invoices to departments as needed to confirm the receipt of a PO.
  • Receive POs for Department Managers as needed.
  • Scan and email invoices processed to corporate AP for payment.
  • Send out weekly reports to a predetermined list on a variety of responsibilities.
  • Run reports daily to ensure materials are on hand for production runs.
  • Do a daily yard check and send it out to a predetermined list.
  • Research prices with variable suppliers for materials to obtain prices and specifications.
  • Accountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for their position.
  • Encouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues.
  • Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their position.
  • Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work.
  • Investigate and correct negative on-hand inventory.
  • Work weekends/overtime on an as-needed basis.
  • Data Entry into Excel files.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
