Arizona State University (ASU), recognized as the nation’s most innovative university, is launching a student-run Security Operations Center (SOC) within Enterprise Technology (ET). We are seeking an inaugural Student SOC Coordinator to build, lead, and operationalize this program from the ground up. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend operational cybersecurity leadership with mentorship and workforce development. The coordinator will lead the end-to-end coordination of a student SOC program, aligning schedules, training, and operations across students, SOC staff, and operational stakeholders. These students will contribute to security operations in close collaboration with ET’s full-time SOC team, gaining hands-on experience while adding real value to the enterprise. The successful candidate will bring experience building project initiatives from the ground up, paired with strong coordination and project management skills and a passion for organizing people, processes, and learning experiences to support student development in a dynamic cybersecurity environment. They will be self-motivated, resilient, and excited to solve the tactical and operational challenges of guiding student analysts in a high-stakes environment. This position will report to the Executive Director within ET Cybersecurity Core and will work closely with ASU’s full-time SOC analysts. As with all members of the Enterprise Technology team, this role carries core responsibilities, including fostering a sense of belonging and cultivating a culture that is relational, visionary, and empowering.
