About The Position

Support the day-to-day activities and events related to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards. This role is crucial for facilitating a comprehensive university-wide student conduct program, both academic and non-academic, for individual students and student organizations. The coordinator will be responsible for conducting investigations, maintaining student conduct records, gathering data, preparing reports, and assisting in policy development. Additionally, the position involves developing and implementing educational programs to inform the campus community about community standards and the student conduct process. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards will also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • Requires a relevant bachelor's degree.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in a higher education environment such as student conduct, residence life and housing, or student affairs, or closely related field which includes experience in an investigation/adjudication environment.
  • Knowledge of due process requirements and federal and state laws impacting student conduct policies and procedures required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Administrative capabilities required.
  • Ability to coordinate all aspects of student disciplinary action required.
  • Ability to maintain thorough confidential records required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, or Law preferred.
  • Prior experience and training in conducting complex investigations including Title IX, Gender-Based Misconduct, Discrimination, and Hazing cases preferred.
  • Proficient with Maxient and student management software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the facilitation of a comprehensive university-wide student conduct program (academic and non-academic) as it applies to individual students and student organizations.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards.
