About The Position

The Coordinator, Special Projects is responsible for working collaboratively across all facets of the department to provide project coordination as it relates to the business and clinical programs and services including goals for existing and new program growth, clinical and operational excellence. This position assists in all phases of a project, from planning, execution, and through the end of the project. Develops work plans, tracks progress and delivers status reports. Collects and analyzes internal metrics and other performance analytics to track and monitor performance trends, identify opportunities for program improvement. Performs other essential duties to support associate, department and business initiatives, as assigned, including but not limited to, executive level administrative and support functions to their direct report and interaction with CHOC associates, management, outside consultants and vendors.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience in an administrative assistant, coordinator, or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs – Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards.
  • Ability to care with sensitivity and respect.
  • Ability to advance care through development of new ideas and technology.
  • Ability to promote teamwork to achieve CHOC’s mission.
  • Ability to understand and exceed customer expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience three (3) years within the healthcare industry, performance improvement, and/or coordinating projects.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Project management credential.
  • Project Management principles.
  • Budget management principles.
  • Program Management Prof (PgMP), Project Management Prof (PMP).
