About The Position

The main purpose of this position is to provide oversight of the local HUB Continuum of Care (CoC) permanent supportive housing projects and Adult Case Management Services in Cecil County available via Maryland's public behavioral health system. This position will serve individuals exiting homelessness who have a history of forensic involvement and mental health or co-occurring behavioral health disorders and who need supportive services to maintain housing in the community. This position also provides support to the daily functions of the CSA, including consumer requests for behavioral health services and resources, and overall planning for public behavioral health system services.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the mental health field, assessing client/program needs and providing appropriate resources.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Working knowledge through experience reviewing, assessing, and approving documents related to client services/programs.
  • Experience representing or facilitating meetings related to client issues.
  • Experience maintaining housing documents and annual renewal reports.
