About The Position

Join Our Team as a Coordinator! Are you passionate about supporting the Senior population and making a real difference in their lives? EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Coordinator to join the Senior Health Promotion Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Public Health, Psychology, Health Education or a health-related field.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
  • Knowledge of the basic principles, practices, and techniques of public health education and trends at national, state and community levels.
  • Must possess valid NY State Driver’s License and have vehicle.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with community agencies and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the senior centers and Office for the Aging to identify and implement wellness programs to meet the needs of the community.
  • Oversee consultants, activity specialists and volunteers who provide health promotion activities, including on-site monthly visits to locations throughout Nassau County.
  • Collect and deposit monthly program contributions and maintain reports
  • Identify and build community partnerships to increase access for health promotion programs for seniors in Nassau County.
  • Monitor timesheets, process purchase orders for all activities specialist’s timesheets and maintain all paperwork.
  • Prepare and distribute annual contracts for all consultants and program guidelines
  • Conduct data entry, maintain all program spreadsheets and statistics and prepare reports
  • Enhance program participation and recruit new consultants and activity specialists.
  • Collect and maintain record of monthly program contributions from all Nassau County Senior Centers
  • Occasionally oversee and assist with daily operations at EAC Senior Centers when needed.
  • Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration.
