About The Position

The Coordinator, Commercial Events will support the planning and execution of in-store events that bring the David Yurman brand to life, including retail and wholesale events, activations, and VIC experiences. The role will also provide administrative and project management support to the broader team and travel as needed to support events on-site. This position helps plan, manage, and execute events that drive sales and build customer loyalty. The coordinator will support the events team from an administrative perspective overseeing project tracking, submitting event creative requests, calendar management, and vendor/competitor research, among others. The position will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Visual, Merch, etc to ensure seamless event execution, adherence to brand standards, and operational excellence from concept through post-event reporting. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional organization, professionalism, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines, track budgets, handle internal and external correspondence, and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of events experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and positive attitude required.
  • Team-oriented and highly organized individual with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project and time management skills are required.
  • Stay abreast of marketing/event industry trends, opportunities, and best practices.
  • Minimal local travel as needed and the ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, at on-site events.
  • Strong knowledge in building PowerPoint decks and presentations.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency and knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Execution: Assist in planning and executing events across the retail and wholesale channels, collaborating with internal teams and external retailers. Support with event logistics, including vendor research, venue sourcing, invitations, catering, décor, experiential elements, music, gifts, and on-site support. Assist with all event logistics and execution elements for internal corporate events inclusive of market weeks, strategy meetings, omni meetings and corporate holiday party- including researching venues, organizing site arrangements, catering, décor, gifts, etc.
  • Budget & Tracking: In partnership with Sr. Manager, track budgets, process invoices, reconcile expenses, and manage POs to ensure payments are delivered on time and events are within budget.
  • Administrative & Project Management: Maintain detailed event trackers and timelines, master calendar, partner with retail store managers and wholesale field sales team to collect comprehensive post-event recaps, ensuring organization and accessibility. Support development of event collateral, invitations, decks, and on-brand materials in collaboration with the creative team. Coordinate legal, commercial co-venture, and talent agreements, as well as product or monetary donations for charity event sales.
  • Creative Concepting: Support the ideation of event concepts across all channels through a creative Lense and concept new ideas to integrate and improve upon existing events. Partner with the retail and wholesale teams to implement seasonal special event strategies to support high traffic moments and sales initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with retail Regional Vice Presidents, Wholesale Field Sales teams, and Store Managers on event requests, deliverables, and approvals.
  • Logistics & Operations: Oversee event logistics and execution elements for all reatil and wholesale events including managing shipments, GWP inventory, delivery of event collateral, buildling run of shows and timelines to keep all stakeholders informed and on track.
  • Reporting : Compile and create event one-sheets, briefs, recaps, and decks distributed to leadership.
  • Vendor & Competitive Research: Conduct competitive research on key moments, luxury events, and in-store activations to inform strategy.
  • Travel local to NYC as needed to support and execute events on-site.
