About The Position

New York Imaging is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to support patient-focused diagnostic imaging services. The role involves maintaining accurate patient information, scheduling and preparing patients, verifying authorizations and gathering documentation for add-on appointments, coordinating schedule changes with radiologists and technologists, and responding to communications from staff, departments, and physician offices. The coordinator must handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA and respond to applicable email inquiries in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in radiology scheduling is required.
• Breast imaging/procedure scheduling experience is required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient information accurate and up to date.
• Schedule and prepare patients appropriately.
• Ensure valid authorization is on file and obtain relevant documentation for add-on appointments.
• Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to address schedule issues or changes.
• Address messages from staff, departments, and physician offices.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines when handling sensitive patient information.
• Respond to applicable email inquiries in a timely manner.
