The Youth & Family Coordinator is responsible for creating welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environments that foster belonging, family engagement, youth development, and positive experiences for children and families. Under the direction of the supervisor, the Coordinator supports the planning, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of youth and family programs and services, including youth enrichment classes, parent-child programs, family engagement activities, Family nights, special events, Child Activity Center operations, and other youth and family initiatives. Responsibilities include cultivating meaningful relationships with children, families, volunteers, and community partners; supporting program quality and participant engagement; coordinating class schedules and program logistics; assisting with curriculum implementation and development supporting participant recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts and providing operational and administrative support for the Youth & Family Department. The Coordinator also assists with staff support, volunteer engagement, event planning, program promotion, and the implementation of strategies that strengthen family connections, participation, belonging, and positive outcomes for youth and families. The Youth & Family Coordinator serves as a key support to the department, helping ensure high quality programs, exceptional participant experiences, and strong alignment with the YMCA's mission to strengthen communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
