About The Position

The Coordinator, Outreach Programs will build strategic relationships, conduct a variety of outreach activities, or organize project volunteers within assigned areas. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, education, communications, public health, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired.
  • One (1) year of experience in volunteer board development, strategic planning, and coordination of special events planning, outreach education, or alumni/volunteer relations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement a community and business outreach plan including attending public events and providing information and educational materials to targeted audiences.
  • Organize, attend, and present at business, community, and neighborhood group meetings regarding various community-related projects.
  • Facilitate coordination with staff health professionals, staff, and the general public to build awareness of community education and volunteer projects within assigned areas.
  • Seek partnerships with local organizations, and develop new business strategies and relationships that enhance the overall performance of MU Health Care.
  • Develop, coordinate, and monitor the MU Health Care Partners Board to assist in funding for outreach initiatives. Oversee the allocation process and manage allocation accounts, the reconciliation of the assigned budget, process accounts receivable and payable documents, and purchase of items for specific initiatives.
  • May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
