About The Position

Breaktime (www.breaktime.org) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to ending young adult homelessness by providing job and financial security, which leads to housing security. The Coordinator of Workforce Partnerships will be a key member of the Workforce Partnerships team, focusing on managing host-site partnerships. This role involves prospecting, onboarding, managing, and maintaining relationships with these partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field AND 2+ years of experience in sales, recruitment, or partnership procurement.
  • OR, in lieu of a degree, 4+ years of combined professional and lived experience that demonstrates a track record of success in relationship management and outreach.
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation and account retention, with experience navigating the "closing" process of MOUs or contracts.
  • Exceptional pitching and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate a complex value proposition to diverse stakeholders in the business community.
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization.
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with high-volume outreach and possesses the persistence to overcome gatekeepers and objections.
  • High emotional intelligence and influential presence; able to build trust quickly and maintain high-retention relationships in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret pipeline metrics to self-correct outreach strategies and meet quarterly partnership goals.
  • Strong attention to detail regarding contractual compliance, invoicing cycles, and data integrity.
  • Advanced experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) for pipeline management and data-driven reporting; proficiency in the Google Workspace suite.
  • A persistent and compelling advocate for young adults (18-25 year olds), with the ability to work flexibly (including evenings/weekends for events) and travel across the state for prospecting.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and research mission-aligned businesses and non-profits to build a robust pipeline of potential "Liftoff" host sites.
  • Execute high-volume outreach (calls, emails, networking) to convert cold leads into introductory presentations that articulate the value proposition of the Breaktime model to prospective partners.
  • Serve as the primary brand ambassador at community and industry events to generate new partnership leads and increase Breaktime’s visibility in the workforce ecosystem in collaboration with the Community Outreach team.
  • Support the Programs Leadership through the closing process by helping draft Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and assisting with the communication of partnership terms.
  • Facilitate Prospective Liftoff Partnership presentations and Host Site Orientations to ensure sites fully understand Breaktime’s mission, model, theory of change, and their role to successfully support Associates in their Liftoff placements.
  • Create the warm handoff between newly onboarded Host Site partners and the Coordinator of Workforce Placements.
  • Conduct site visits and interviews to assess the physical safety, organizational cultural alignment, and mentorship capacity of potential partners against Breaktime’s quality standards.
  • Act as the primary intermediary for all current and future host sites, conducting regular check-ins to ensure partner satisfaction and address any operational friction.
  • Implement a structured "Partner Success" cadence to ensure high renewal rates of MOUs and the continued availability of placement slots.
  • Monitor and track Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) expiration dates, ensure compliance with the agreed-upon expectations, and identify and troubleshoot concerns as they arise with the Manager of Workforce Partnerships.
  • Maintain a system that provides real-time Host Site capacity information to the program and informs the partner recruitment and retention strategy.
  • Act as the main liaison and primary point of contact for all Host-Site supervisors in collaboration with the Coordinator of Workforce Placements (who serves as the Associate’s primary support).
  • Engage host-site partners in a way that is fruitful and contributes to the overall relationship with Breaktime.
  • Create a cadence for engagement events and opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed records of the life of the partnership, from initial lead contact to signed MOU, ensuring all data is "real-time" and accurate in Salesforce.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Manager on lead conversion rates, pipeline health, and upcoming MOU expirations to inform departmental strategy.
  • Maintain a record of partners to provide accurate monthly billable hours to support Finance in partner invoicing.
  • Support the design and implementation of responsive data management processes that evolve in alignment with programmatic needs and priorities.
  • Maintain a high-touch feedback loop with the Coordinator of Workforce Placements to ensure a "360-degree" view of every site; ensure that employer feedback (managed by WFP) and Associate progress (managed by Placements) are aligned to support long-term site retention.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration for all WFP campaigns.
