The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services, and provides subsidized child care vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment. In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement and programs for youth in the community. The Office of Training and Workforce Development, which is housed within the Division of Policy, Planning, and Measurement of the Administration for Children’s Services, includes the James Satterwhite Academy, the Workforce Institute, and the Institute for Leadership Development. Reporting to the Senior Director of Training and Workforce Development, the Coordinator of Training and Workforce Development will support the implementation of training requirements, including working closely with ACS’ provider agencies in the community, tracking targeted deliverables, and supporting associated processes and logistics. The position will interface with ACS and community-based provider agency leadership and staff working in the community, the ACS Workforce Institute staff, JSA staff, CUNY consultants, to assure good communication and the timeliness of deliverables.
