The Unitarian Universalist Life Coordinator strengthens and sustains the Unitarian Universalist community through weekly services, religious education, pastoral care and counseling, and the promotion of interfaith understanding, in collaboration with Heartspace student leaders. The Unitarian Universalist Life Coordinator will address the needs of a complex and diverse population of Unitarian Universalist students in a multicultural environment and enable this diversity to thrive. They must have the ability to connect theology to a contemporary context in a way that is authentic and accessible, in order to nourish students with a wide range of observances, practices, and identities. Applicants must demonstrate an inclusive ideology, accepting of all cultural differences, embody radical acceptance, provide mentorship, and create a welcoming space for all students. They must also be willing to work and collaborate closely with Chaplains and students from other faith traditions, including but not limited to Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu and Christian. They will participate in the creation and execution of multifaith college traditions, such as Flower Sunday and Baccalaureate. They will also provide spiritual care to Wellesley students of all faith traditions and philosophical worldviews.
