Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • At least one year of experience in academic recruiting, enrollment services, academic advising, OR related transferable experience in education or industry experience related to Bumpers College programs.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite Program.
  • Must be able and willing to travel.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • At least two years of experience in academic recruiting, enrollment services, or academic advising.
  • At least one year of experience as an admissions counselor, student ambassador, or orientation leader.
  • Knowledge or experience within the various programs within Bumpers College.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial contact for students interested in undergraduate majors within the Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.
  • Educate prospective students and families about opportunities at the University of Arkansas, specifically within Bumpers College.
  • Plan and host on- and off-campus events for prospective student visits, including school groups and admissions visits.
  • Develop and manage a pool of prospective students for Bumpers College.
  • Plan and implement effective recruitment strategies and events, utilizing market research and trend analysis to set goals and monitor progress.
  • Develop initiatives to promote and encourage a student body that reflects the state's college-bound population and enriches the educational experience.
  • Plan and/or represent the university and college at recruitment events both on and off-campus, in-state and out-of-state.
  • Design and coordinate recruitment events on behalf of Bumpers College.
  • Act as a liaison to the Office of Admissions.
  • Assume other related areas of responsibility as assigned or required by Admissions and Bumpers College.
  • Travel overnight as a requirement of the position, across the state of Arkansas and nationally.
  • Work occasional weekends and evenings.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance.
  • Create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
