About The Position
The Arc Erie County NY is seeking a Coordinator of Safety & Risk to support safety, risk management, and accident-prevention efforts across our organization. This is an opportunity for a safety-minded professional who can identify potential risks, analyze trends, develop practical solutions, and work collaboratively with teams throughout the agency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Occupational Safety, or a related field OR Five years of experience in Safety and Risk Management within a multi-dimensional organization
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of safety and risk management best practices
- Experience developing policies, reports, and safety-related recommendations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- OSHA or emergency preparedness certifications
- Experience with commercial insurance, safety, or risk management
Responsibilities
- Coordinate agency-wide safety and risk management initiatives
- Conduct safety inspections and recommend improvements
- Develop and deliver safety and accident-prevention training
- Lead the agency’s Safety Committee
- Review safety data and identify trends and areas of concern
- Participate in accident investigations and recommend preventive measures
- Support emergency preparedness plans and drills
- Assist with insurance and organizational risk-management activities
