About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of residential houses from both programmatic and financial perspectives. The Coordinator will provide supervision, coaching, and development to house managers, conduct audits to ensure the safety and welfare of individuals, and maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies. This position also involves reviewing and recommending changes to program systems, monitoring staff training and teamwork, conducting investigations, and developing procedures manuals. The Coordinator has the authority to hire and fire employees and makes recommendations regarding personnel actions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective supervision, coaching, and development of house managers, including training and ongoing mentorship.
  • Ensure that residential houses operate smoothly, effectively, and efficiently from a programmatic and financial perspective.
  • Conduct audits in residential settings to ensure the overall safety and welfare of individuals, including but not limited to fire safety, MAR, training records, charts, active treatment, diets, mealtimes, billing, and environmental assessments.
  • Ensure prompt follow-up for internal and external audits, address concerns promptly and thoroughly, and communicate concerns to the supervisor with possible solutions.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of OPWDD regulations and ensure programs comply with all regulatory and government agencies governing residential supports.
  • Review, analyze, and recommend changes to program systems to ensure individuals receive appropriate supports to meet their goals.
  • Review staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and consistency.
  • Monitor training records of staff to ensure all training is completed and monitor the level of teamwork, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct investigations as assigned by the Director of Corporate Compliance and meet with the Special Review Committee as required.
  • Provide regular written and verbal reports of discrepancies discovered in audits as required by the Senior Residential Coordinator.
  • Train and develop Residential Staff on the implementation of individual goals and proper billing procedures.
  • Develop a procedures manual for new House and Assistant House Managers on pertinent processes.
  • Exercise authority to hire and fire employees and make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, and advancement.
  • Maintain required trainings and documentation on various systems and logs.
  • Participate in required trainings as deemed necessary.
  • Ensure a clean, safe environment and orderly living for all individuals.
  • Carry out any other responsibilities deemed necessary as assigned by the Sr. Residential Coordinator, Assistant Vice President of Program Operations and/or President.
