About The Position

The Catholic Diocese of Raleigh is seeking a mission-driven and organized Coordinator of Married Life to join their team. This role supports the Catholic community of Eastern North Carolina by assisting parish leaders and parishioners in areas of Marriage, Family, and Fertility Awareness. The Coordinator will provide support to the Catholic Community in the area, working under the general supervision of the Director of Marriage and Family Life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Family Studies, or related area.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in pastoral ministry (Parish or Diocesan level).
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Catholic teachings, practices, and the mission of the Diocese.
  • Professional demeanor reflective of the values and mission of the Diocese of Raleigh.
  • Demonstrated experience in event organization.
  • Excellent written/oral skills and public speaking experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide diversity of ethnic backgrounds.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and open to learning new ministry-related technologies.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours (evenings/weekends) as needed.
  • Discretion and prudence in maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Customer Service oriented.
  • Must pass a criminal background and reference check.
  • Must complete Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out administrative duties such as emails, phone calls, and form submittals.
  • Responds to parish needs by providing prompt responses or training for parish leaders or formation for couples.
  • Coordinates, runs, and supports activities related to marriage, family, and fertility awareness, primarily through workshops.
  • Runs and coordinates communication campaigns through various media channels.
  • Coordinates the Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass.
  • Participates in and leads prayer and worship.
  • Proclaims the Gospel with word and action and shares the kerygma intentionally.
  • Supports other Office of Evangelization and Discipleship activities as needed.
  • Coordinates the preparation and submittal of financial forms for the Department of Marriage and Family Life.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
