About The Position

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is seeking a Coordinator for Mental Health & Wellness and Applied Performance Science. This role has dual reporting lines to the Director of Mental Health & Wellness and the Director of Applied Performance Science, with distinct responsibilities in each department. The position is crucial for the daily operations of both departments, involving administrative support, customer service, workflow assistance, and maintaining electronic health records and data. Core pillars for this position include student athlete wellness, organizational skills, and confidentiality. In Applied Performance Science, the role provides cross-functional communication and collaboration, assists with performance analyses and reports, and ensures safety protocols during testing. The incumbent must maintain knowledge of patient confidentiality regulations, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and possess strong administrative, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. The role requires organization, attention to detail, self-motivation, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, multitask effectively, engage with diverse individuals, and work a non-standard schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Experience working in a medical clinic.
  • Experience using an electronic health record system.
  • Working knowledge of policies, procedures, rules, and regulations related to patient/client confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle protected health information (PHI) of patients/clients in accordance with UAA, federal, and state regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and similar programs.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Mental Health & Wellness department.
  • Providing customer service within the Mental Health & Wellness department.
  • Assisting with workflows in the Mental Health & Wellness department.
  • Maintaining electronic health records and data for the Mental Health & Wellness department.
  • Providing key cross-functional communication and collaboration to initiatives within the team and/or department for Applied Performance Science.
  • Assisting with, maintaining, and monitoring performance analyses and reports.
  • Ensuring appropriate safety protocols/techniques are followed during testing.
