About The Position

The Materials Coordinator will perform a variety of duties related to warehousing and outbound shipping. With minimal supervision, a successful Materials Coordinator will manage inventory, pick, process and ship material per shipping schedule. The Materials Coordinator will be highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, IFS and other pertinent programs. The best Materials Coordinator is self-motivated and a natural trouble shooter who can react quickly under pressure and manage several tasks concurrently. Accuracy and confidentiality are important factors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, Associate’s Degree preferred; administrative training with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Working knowledge of TS16949/ ISO 9000 preferred.
  • Accurate typing/computer data entry with above average attention to detail.
  • Effective time-management and organizational skills.
  • Exhibit good judgment, common sense, leadership, decision making skills and abilities, as well as possess effective interpersonal skills and training abilities.
  • Must be flexible and able to handle multiple of varied tasks that contribute directly to the effectiveness and quality of the company and all employees.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Will need ability to want and learn forklift.
  • Proficient in box truck backing and docking or willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior forklift experience is encouraged but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Processes all outbound shipments for both internal and external customers through HUSCO ERP system (IFS).
  • Follows customer-specific requirements through current processes and helps establish processes for new customers.
  • Schedules regular outbound shipments and coordinates expedited shipments.
  • Processes all outbound shipments, sends return dunnage with proper paperwork to customers and suppliers, processes internal stores requisitions, and assists in scrap and MRO purchases on an as needed basis.
  • Generates necessary reports on an as-needed basis, including monitoring backflush to ensure correct inventory in locations, compiling weekly pick lists for Inventory Control, reviewing receiving prior day and shipping reports, and assisting with cycle count, finished goods counts, and WIP count spreadsheets and counting as needed.
  • Prepares, loads, unloads, and organizes finished goods and raw materials around the plant as needed.
  • Assists in Warehouse picking & storage for secondary plant.
  • Assists in driving, loading, unloading Box truck from intercompany truck runs.
  • Assists in unloading as well as receiving inventory into HUSCO ERP system on an as needed basis.
  • Meets all quality and safety requirements of the company and industry.
  • Assists in training additional team members upon gaining own experience in role.
