About The Position

The Coordinator of the Luckyday Scholars Program is responsible for collaborating with the Luckyday staff in the provision of student-centered program support and daily operations. Reporting to the Director of the Luckyday Scholars Program, the Coordinator assists with the operational implementation of a four-year student development program that empowers scholars through academic support, community building initiatives, leadership development, and service opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field OR a Bachelor’s degree paired with relevant experience
  • Ability to coordinate and execute high-impact student programming that fosters personal and group development
  • Strong interpersonal skills for supporting students in their academic, personal, and professional growth
  • Ability to effectively navigate various technology platforms, including Microsoft 365, Canva, Canvas, Banner, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Connects scholars with program, campus, and community opportunities that align with program values
  • Serves as a community liaison to align student programming with community needs
  • Assists with the general oversight of program initiatives, including student committees, mentor programs, and the program seminar class
  • Fosters a welcoming environment in the Luckyday Administrative Suite through intentional interactions and maintenance of the space
  • Provides ongoing mentorship and coaching to students, empowering them to set goals, overcome challenges, and maximize their potential
  • Monitors student compliance with academic and service requirements, under the guidance of the Director and Assistant Director
  • Coordinates student-facing academic and service meetings to ensure that students maintain good-standing within the Luckyday Scholars Program
  • Organizes and facilitates events and programming that promote student engagement
  • Executes program communications through social media content, e-mail, and app-based platforms
  • Participates in campus collaboration and outreach events that benefit current and prospective scholars
  • Assists with general office administration tasks
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned
