About The Position

This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive planned giving program for Vegas PBS. The role involves cultivating relationships with donors, managing a portfolio of prospects, and executing strategies to secure planned gifts. The Coordinator will work closely with the Vegas PBS development team and external partners to achieve fundraising goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., fundraising, marketing, business, communications).
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in fundraising, with a significant focus on planned giving.
Proven track record of successfully cultivating and closing planned gifts.
Strong understanding of various planned giving vehicles (e.g., bequests, charitable gift annuities, trusts).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Proficiency in donor database management (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Thorough background investigation is required.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, JD, CFP).
Experience in a public broadcasting or non-profit setting.
Knowledge of estate planning and tax laws related to charitable giving.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic plan for the Vegas PBS planned giving program.
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective planned giving donors.
Manage a portfolio of planned giving prospects and donors.
Develop and deliver compelling presentations and materials to promote planned giving opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., development, marketing, finance) and external advisors (e.g., attorneys, financial planners) to facilitate planned gifts.
Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, gift expectancies, and completed gifts.
Stay informed about current trends and best practices in planned giving and philanthropy.
Assist with other development activities as needed.
