About The Position

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The role involves managing incoming and outgoing calls for Fire Equipment, scheduling daily routes for technicians, and dispatching service calls. The Coordinator will identify and assess customer needs to provide satisfactory solutions, build sustainable relationships through open communication, and handle customer complaints with appropriate solutions. Additional tasks to assist the department may be required. There is an option to participate in an on-call rotation for additional hours once fully trained.

Requirements

  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required to work with customers, technicians, sales personnel, and managers
  • Must be able to multi-task & have multiple priorities
  • Computer Literate – Typing 40 wpm minimum. Accuracy is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel primarily)
  • Google Maps, ability to pull directions

  • Ability to sit or stand for several hours at a time

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming / outgoing calls for Fire Equipment
  • Scheduling of daily routes for assigned technicians and dispatch service calls
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfactory solutions
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods / tools
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions, and alternatives
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
  • Additional tasks as needed to assist the department
  • Participate in on-call program for additional hours (optional, once fully trained)
