About The Position
Responsible for maintaining and coordinating a safe, efficient, and professional work environment for the TMW Heart Center patients, physicians and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical terminology and typing, computer skills preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervisory duties of the EKG department, including staff schedules.
- Interact with staff/patients/guests in a polite/responsive manner to ensure quality care.
- Make recommendations/suggestions to professional staff to optimize quality.
- Maintain adequate stock items providing uninterrupted patient care.
- Report directly to the Cardiac Imaging Manager and Cath Lab Manager.
- Facilitate placement of maintenance, IT and equipment work orders.
- Creation of daily cath lab placemat worksheets and upkeep of changes throughout the day.
- Reconciliation of McKesson EKG/Stress testing exams.
- Collection, correction, charging and retroactive authorizations for cath lab procedures.
- Ensure orders are correct, available and current.
- Reminder calls as needed.
