About The Position

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization whose mission is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life for the children and adults affected by these diseases. Our work is dramatically accelerating the research process through our varied research initiatives. We also provide extensive educational and support resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public. In addition, we lead federal and state-based advocacy campaigns to support medical research funding and improve patient access to care. Position Summary: The Coordinator, Fundraising Campaigns & Volunteer Engagement is a hybrid position, responsible for meeting or exceeding event budgets in assigned areas, and working in partnership with chapter staff, Foundation leaders, community volunteers and committees to drive growth and success in chapter fundraising campaigns and other revenue streams. This individual will lead social media special events and special projects, web, Canva/print projects and, support event fundraising campaigns, and build community through partnerships that harness the passion and skills of volunteer leaders to help maximize their engagement to advance the mission of the Foundation. This role is hybrid: 2 days/week in the Dallas office and 3 days/week remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in not-for-profit fundraising.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising experience including peer to peer/Walk and special events.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional written/oral presentation and communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in corporate giving, donor cultivation, recognition, records and acknowledgement.
  • Proven skills in committee and volunteer management and development.
  • Proven skills in strategic planning, budgeting, and utilization of data to drive results.
  • Creative thinker/problem solver.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a budget.
  • Skillful in balancing multiple and competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven capability of working with a variety of personality and leadership styles in a matrixed organization, and externally with volunteers and partners.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, PowerBI, Donor Drive, Sales Force, OneCause, Sprout Social and Canva a plus.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to travel across chapter markets up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and implement social media strategy, keeping web and social current and engaging.
  • Support chapter fundraising staff and campaigns as needed, including developing and executing Canva projects, committee meetings, communication and fundraising strategies for Take Steps, Craft for Cures and The Annual Dinner: A Night of Champions.
  • Execute direct donor and volunteer engagement strategies as needed to implement Foundation fundraising best practices and recruit and manage high-level volunteers, strategic initiatives, revenue generating activities and event day logistics that result in meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Identify and cultivate corporate, healthcare and community partners who will maximize growth and revenue impact on the special event and Take Steps fundraising campaigns.
  • Develop impactful relationships within the patient, healthcare, and corporate community, empowering them to tell their stories through direct peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Support logistics to provide an inspirational day-of event experience for corporate partners, patients, and supporters.
  • Support acquisition of new corporate partnerships and pipeline growth through a variety of mechanisms including prospecting and leveraging key relationships within the community.
  • Monitor campaign key performance indicators through utilization of data and adjust fundraising strategies as necessary.
  • Be knowledgeable about Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and the Foundation’s strategic plan, operations, and mission.
  • Maintain accurate and complete databases, records and files for fundraising events, programs, and activities.
  • Partner with and support volunteer committees to drive success in campaigns and grow support for our mission.
