About The Position

Coordinates and supports the administration of Fraternity & Sorority Life and Student Involvement by advising student leaders, facilitating organizational operations, promoting student engagement, ensuring compliance with university policies, and collaborating with campus partners to enhance the student experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Psychology, Counseling, Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • One year of professional or graduate-level experience in higher education, student affairs, student activities, fraternity and sorority life, registered student organizations, campus programming, or a closely related area.
  • Graduate assistant experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience advising student organizations, planning and implementing programs and events, interpreting and applying policies, and collaborating effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and possess or obtain a valid driver's license in accordance with university requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Student Affairs, Educational Leadership, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional experience advising fraternity and sorority communities and/or registered student organizations in a college or university setting.
  • Experience with campus engagement software, student organization management systems, event planning, budget administration, assessment, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative partnerships, manage multiple priorities, supervise student employees, and contribute to initiatives that enhance student engagement and success.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and administers Fraternity & Sorority Life by advising governing councils and coaching chapters; assists with recruitment and intake processes; supports chapter development, recognition, and assessment; monitors compliance with university, council, and inter/national organization policies; and coordinates educational programs and community events.
  • Coordinates and administers the Registered Student Organization (RSO) program by managing organization registration and re-registration, advising student leaders and advisors, coordinating involvement initiatives, maintaining the campus engagement platform, facilitating student organization training, and supporting funding and recognition processes.
  • Coordinates and assists with department and divisional programs, campus engagement initiatives, and special events; collaborates with campus partners; supervises student employees; and supports departmental assessment, communications, and administrative operations.
  • Supports the functions of the Center for Student Involvement by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned.
