About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Campus Ministry, the Coordinator for Operations and Hospitality keeps Campus Ministry running smoothly and welcoming well. The position holds two clearly defined domains: operations (facilities, information technology, budget and expense coordination, and office management) and hospitality (welcoming spaces, front-desk student staff, and university-facing events and presence). Though grounded in operations, this is a mission-oriented role rather than a purely administrative one. The systems this position maintains and the welcome it extends directly shape how students, families, and guests experience Campus Ministry and how at home they feel in it. In keeping with LMU’s Commitment to Students, the Coordinator helps foster an environment where students are supported, seen, and invited more deeply into the life of the university. The ideal candidate cares about student growth and formation and wants their work to improve students’ experience of LMU. This position works in close collaboration with the Director of Campus Ministry, who serves as primary budget manager, and alongside the Campus Ministers and student staff of the department, as well as partners across the University, including Facilities Management, Information Technology Services, Finance, and event and orientation offices.
