Coordinator for Membership and Outreach
About The Position
Campus Recreation is looking for an experienced and dynamic person to join our team as Coordinator for Membership and Outreach. Under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Director, the Coordinator for Membership and Outreach will be responsible for the daily operations and management of all member services and outreach initiatives. Specific job duties include: Manage general membership operations and sales, utilizing Innosoft Fusion Oversee department outreach initiatives such as tabling opportunities and collaborative events Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate student employees Manage payroll for Membership and Outreach student staff Ensure the proper training and compliance requirements are being met for all Membership and Outreach staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Must operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties
- Valid driver’s license
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- A master’s degree in recreation, sports management, higher education, or a related field is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in student development
- Knowledge of membership sales and operations is preferred
- A working knowledge of software systems such as Innosoft Fusion, WhenToWork, or similar is preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage general membership operations and sales, utilizing Innosoft Fusion
- Oversee department outreach initiatives such as tabling opportunities and collaborative events
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate student employees
- Manage payroll for Membership and Outreach student staff
- Ensure the proper training and compliance requirements are being met for all Membership and Outreach staff
- Independent work on assignments, while reviewing progress and updating the Assistant Director as appropriate
- Manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
- Provide and receive feedback
- Lead students and work in a team-based environment
- Support and engage with all departmental and Student Affairs initiatives and efforts, including collaborations with campus partners to create meaningful student experiences
- Take initiative and have flexibility to adapt to shifting workload demands
- Work with a schedule that may include occasional evening and weekend hours
- Foster a positive climate among a diverse group of staff, student employees, and participants
