About The Position

Assist individuals in completing financial aid applications and facilitate the efficient operation of financial aid services for the College including Federal and State grants. Ensure that all components of human services related programs, including but not limited to the oversight of WIOA, childcare, SECU, and Golden Leaf grants programs, are administered in alignment with requirements of State and Federal regulatory bodies as well as those outlined by the College. Assist with information/orientation sessions related to financial aid. Assist with data collection for preparation of reports. Develop student correspondence and provide financial aid notification. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent required.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal skills, in addition to the ability to work with minimal supervision, required.
  • Must possess North Carolina Notary licensure, or be willing to obtain it, at the cost of the College within 120 days of employment.
  • Official transcripts, including other documentation verifying all reported educational qualifications, are required.
  • Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for application purposes.
  • The successful candidate must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within thirty (30) days of being notified of selection.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Services, Accounting, Business, or a related area preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic income tax preparation procedures preferred.
  • Experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience with data entry preferred.
