About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Patient Food Services or Designate, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the COORDINATOR - FOOD PRODUCTION is responsible for: ensuring a high quality of service and accuracy through efficient operation and planning of work; supervision of Patient Food Services employees and area; procurement of specific patient and office related products; participation in hiring, training and conducting of contribution assessment reviews; scheduling and payroll functions; participation in quality management programs and performing other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
  • Successful completion of an approved Food Services Supervisor’s course or equivalent
  • Valid Food Handler Training Certificate required
  • Proficiency in the use of common software application, preferably the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to supervise and direct in a team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Mature, professional manner
  • Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years experience within the last four (4) years working directly in Food Services is an asset
  • Experience with CBORD Diet Office Management software system is an asset
  • Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is preferred
