About The Position

This is a full-time position. The Coordinator Financial Counseling/Imaging Department will work cross-functionally to assist the manager or supervisor in the operations & staffing of varied Patient Access areas & activities including but not limited to, registration, scheduling, financial clearance & emergency department. They will coordinate & prioritize patient flow to ensure smooth distribution of workload to the Patient Registration Representatives to expedite customer service, patient safety & patient throughput. This role will assist in the development of policies & procedures for patient information, wayfinding, office management, patient registration, financial screening, point of service collections, patient check-in processes & patient placement. The Coordinator will lead & coordinate the onsite orientation of new colleagues, be an active participant in the ongoing education of colleagues & make recommendations to management regarding performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent / GED
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience with competency in patient access, pre-service & / or registration experience.
  • Ability to obtain a national certification in HFMA CRCR & / or NAHAM CHAA within one (1) year of hire.
