About The Position

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Under the general supervision of the Director Facility Support or designate, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Coordinator, Equipment & Supply is responsible for: the day to day organization of equipment and supplies for all Programs throughout the hospital; the maintenance of equipment and supply inventories; participating in the evaluation of equipment and new products; providing in-services to staff on new equipment; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years’ related experience during the immediate preceding four (4) years in the ongoing maintenance & ordering of supplies and equipment in a clinical department, required.
  • Grade 12, or recognized equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of MS Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, internet and email applications.
  • Ability to create Excel spreadsheets is required.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of SAP Supply Chain modules including the common inventory transaction codes in SAP is required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply Chain Management experience is preferred.
  • Completion of a regionally recognized and approved Medical Device Reprocessing Program from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of current Medical Device Reprocessing standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology is preferred.
  • Knowledge of current Infection Prevention & Control standards is preferred.
