About The Position

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The Coordinator - Engineering role involves assisting in the coordination of engineering changes, monitoring task completion, facilitating systems training, and maintaining change management KPIs. The position is also responsible for tracking customer website updates, managing documentation revisions and distribution, archiving records, and communicating customer requirements to management. Additionally, the role includes performing SAP tasks related to material status and drawing documentation, adhering to departmental and company procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (OHSA, ISO 14001, IATF 16949). The role also requires participation in Kaizen and GEAR activities.

Requirements

  • University and/or college diploma in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to enable amicable customer and interdepartmental relationships.
  • Highly conscientious; must be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating all engineering changes.
  • Monitor task list to ensure actions are completed by due date.
  • Facilitate systems training for ECN and parts list.
  • Responsible for maintaining change management KMIs.
  • Check customer websites regularly to ensure new information is downloaded and reviewed by the APQP Department.
  • Control, maintain, file, update, and keep track of all revisions and distribution of all documentation, drawings, materials, and specifications throughout the company.
  • Archive documents and/or records and maintain the archive database.
  • Keep the Platform Manager and other appropriate personnel informed of any new or pertinent customer requirements.
  • Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager.
  • Abide by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures including the legislative requirements of the OHSA.
  • Work in compliance and conform to the Environment and ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen principles; participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
  • Update X-plant material status in SAP.
  • Update drawing documentation (drawing number & revision level, date and ECN Tracker number) in SAP.
