The Coordinator is a registered nurse and is responsible for the coordination of EMS within the emergency department, pre-hospital, and the region. Developing educational programs, policies, procedures, and monitoring the overall quality of care by networking, mentoring, developing quality indicators/ initiatives to ensure compliance with pediatric care for Emergency Department Approved Pediatrics (EDAP) and EMS requirements. The Coordinator is dedicated to quality of care based in evidence and the principle of delivering care appropriate to the patient population served. Fosters and maintains positive working relationships among regional resource hospitals, external personnel, physicians, hospital personnel, and external agencies to ensure appropriate rules, regulations, and audits are completed. The Coordinator of EMS and Pediatric Quality collaborates with stakeholders within the organization and the region to address any opportunities and/ or resolutions identified by regional and organizational stakeholders.
