About The Position

Wiley University seeks a dynamic and highly organized professional to serve as the Director of Campus Engagement & Title IX Compliance within the Department of People & Culture. This dual-impact role is responsible for ensuring institutional compliance with Title IX regulations while also leading the coordination and execution of student activities, campus-wide events, and the University’s centralized event calendar. The Director will work cross-functionally with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Athletics, and Institutional Advancement to create a cohesive, engaging campus experience while maintaining the highest standards of equity, safety, and regulatory compliance. This position plays a critical role in fostering a campus culture that is inclusive, vibrant, aligned and fun with Wiley University’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Higher Education, Business Administration, General studies or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience (internships, student leadership, or campus involvement highly valued).
  • Title IX Certification (or willingness to obtain within 60–90 days of hire).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic technology tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in event planning, student activities, or campus programming.
  • Familiarity with higher education environments, especially HBCUs.
  • Exposure to compliance, HR, or student conduct processes.
  • Experience with scheduling tools, event platforms, or HRIS systems (e.g., Paycom).

Responsibilities

  • Title IX Compliance & Investigations Serve as the University’s Title IX Coordinator, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.
  • Oversee intake, investigation, and resolution of complaints related to discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct.
  • Coordinate training and education programs for faculty, staff, and students on Title IX and related policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Legal, HR, and leadership to ensure consistent application of policies and risk mitigation.
  • Campus Engagement & Student Activities Lead the planning, development, and execution of campus-wide events, student activities, and institutional programming.
  • Collaborate with student organizations, faculty, and departments to enhance student engagement and campus life.
  • Support signature events, traditions, and initiatives that strengthen institutional culture and student belonging.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to student leaders and organizations to ensure successful and compliant programming.
  • Campus Calendar & Event Coordination Develop, manage, and maintain a centralized University-wide calendar to ensure alignment and visibility across all departments.
  • Coordinate scheduling logistics to prevent conflicts and maximize participation in campus events.
  • Establish standard operating procedures for event submissions, approvals, and communications.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for event planning coordination across the University.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Culture Building Partner with People & Culture to support initiatives related to employee engagement, culture, and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to align co-curricular and extracurricular programming.
  • Support institutional initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and belonging across campus.
  • Represent the University on committees and task forces related to campus climate, compliance, and engagement.
