Requirements

  • S. Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Industrial Engineering or other related field.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in healthcare, project management, operations improvement, industrial engineering, consulting or leadership.
  • Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Industrial Engineering or other related field.
  • Four (4) years’ experience in healthcare, project management, operations improvement, industrial engineering, consulting or leadership.
  • Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates operations to identify opportunities for improvement. Develops and proposes optimized processes, systems, procedures and operational adjustments to boost efficiency and effectiveness. Defines performance metrics and tracks key indicators to assess operational trends and outcomes.
  • Partners with key stakeholders, including leadership and team members, to pinpoint operational opportunities, explore and assess potential solutions, select the most effective improvements and create actionable implementation strategies.
  • Guides organizational change using established frameworks, equipping staff to embrace new systems through clear communication and interactive training sessions.
  • Leads data analysis efforts for process improvement initiatives, driving informed decision-making.
  • Contributes expertise to large-scale projects, such as the expansion or renovation of surgical suites and departments.
  • Oversees staffing administration and full-time equivalent (FTE) management for designated departments.
  • Manages fiscal responsibilities for assigned areas, including the development of capital and operating budgets.
  • Analyzes and validates departmental expenses and provides justification for capital equipment investments.
  • Facilitates effective communication and feedback loops among Surgical Services staff, leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Forecasts long- and short-term human and material resource needs, and designs/implements plans for allocation.
  • Communicates regularly with surgery staff to disseminate information. Seeks to create an understanding of hospital-wide performance and direction.
  • Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
