About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Life Consultation for Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled (CSDD), coordinates services for the Family Support Unit. Responsible for the planning, developing, and administration of the daily activities of this unit, and provides administrative and clinical supervision of staff. Depending on area of assignment and classification, essential duties and responsibilities will vary for each Coordinator within CSDD. Responsible for being an active member of the CSDD Management Team, and encouraging cooperation amongst staff, across the department and the agency. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential.
• A minimum of three years of work experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• One-year work experience in a lead position or progressively more responsible position.
• Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally.
• Must be familiar with computers.
• Must be physically able to access CMHA-CEI & Community Facilities.
• Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
• May be required to participate in a management 24-hour on call system, may include holidays and weekends.
