The Cargo Procurement Coordinator will carry out the most complex market analysis and intelligence activities for the organization. We are looking for a professional who can research data, market information and trends from logistics providers to identify and select the most appropriate and profitable transport. In this role, they will analyze data, interpret and execute strategies, sharing best practices.

Requirements

  • Professional studies in related fields
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Experience with tools such as Excel and Power BI for data management
  • Experience working in Supply Chain processes within the grain market
  • Experience in coordination, negotiation, and closing purchases of transportation services.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate English
  • Experience with improvement methodology
  • Certifications in transportation and Supply Chain processes

Responsibilities

  • Apply a general understanding of transportation and logistics practices and procedures to help negotiate freight rates and contract terms for customers.
  • Carry out more complex research using readily available internal and external data sources.
  • Independently analyze current transportation operations practices to resolve process and cost improvement opportunities.
  • Perform more complex analysis requiring a general understanding of data management and analysis.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Handling, communication and negotiation with external stakeholders such as strategic suppliers providing services to the business.
  • Other duties as assigned
