About The Position

Drives operational excellence by supporting the planning, management, and execution of standardized and comprehensive maintenance activities. Drives consistency of preventive maintenance and costs data, and scheduling using the equipment maintenance functionality in the ERP software, and promotes a continuous improvement culture by coordinating maintenance day activities along with identifying gaps and opportunities in maintenance management. Controls canline tooling system to assure continuity of operations and cans within dimensional specifications.

Requirements

  • Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics engineering or technical career. Engineering degree, preferably.
  • +3 years experience in manufacturing/industrial maintenance job.
  • Experience with maintenance PDCA, SOP development.
  • Leadership, planning, proactive, multitasking, works under pressure, effective training, detail-oriented, teamwork and team build, computer skills, effective communication and relationships, results-oriented, costs analysis, meet established deadlines, fast learner, action-oriented, sense of urgency, open to change, good decision maker based on analysis, knowledge, experience and judgement.
  • TPM, 5s, preventive and predictive maintenance, Advanced Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, mechanical and electrical concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Ends line equipment maintenance systems
  • Ends line Tooling and machine shop: Cupper, Bodymaker, Necker
  • Establishes and monitors the canline tooling control, inventory and change control systems while adhering to designs, specifications, and standards established by the engineering group.
  • Manage maintenance and repair costs within budget.
  • Manage personnel overtime within budget.
  • Solve technical issues related with responsibility area
  • Works extensively with the equipment maintenance software for setup, management and reporting of all equipment maintenance activities.
  • Reviews maintenance work orders daily to determine if any work orders from the present shift have been missed or not completed. Notifies responsible personnel of deficiencies.
  • Runs daily preventive maintenance compliance report. For noncompliant work orders, sends email to the crew responsible for the work order and appropriate management.
  • Reviews P1 Notification orders and makes the necessary standardization changes to the naming of the notification to simplify future searches.
  • Meets with management to review severity and prioritize P1 Notification orders and makes updates as needed.
  • Add, remove or change work order text to support risk assessment (spreadsheet) and provides information to the EHS manager for review and reassessment for potential risk in preforming the task.
  • Creates new preventive maintenance work orders as needed in JDE which includes creating service types, task instructions, model work orders and PM schedules.
  • Documents work order creations or changes by maintaining the JDE master tracker for preventive maintenance work orders and task instructions printed for use in the plant.
  • Runs M&R Report and reviews cost by equipment for any heavy hitters and identifies potential cost saving opportunities. May assist in establishing, reviewing and monitoring M&R budgets.
  • Creates spreadsheet with required parts for a maintenance day and provides it to storeroom team members to ensure parts will be available 2 weeks prior to the maintenance day and/or contact purchasing to make sure parts are available before maintenance day.
  • Assists in creating SOPs for maintenance.
  • Manage and updates maintenance routes of the equipment within the area of responsibility, when required.
  • Provide checklists registers, including preventive maintenance
  • Trains team members how to use JDE equipment maintenance functionality.
  • Supports in conversion and maintenance events PDCA.
  • Assists in TPM implementation
  • Other maintenance support.
