This job is exclusively for Coop Students who are enrolled in a recognized post-secondary co-operative education program. The mandate of the Rail Construction Program is to transform, develop, grow and sustain Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit Systems as a component of the City of Ottawa’s overall transportation and mobility strategy. The Rail Construction Program is responsible for all design and construction activities on one of the busiest Light Rail Transit Systems in North America, as well as concurrent design and construction of three light rail system extensions and major supporting infrastructure projects including highway widening, multimodal network integration, and secondary road, utility and traffic infrastructure impacts. You are responsible for carrying out specific assignments related to the Rail Construction Program involving validating the completion of construction activities in the field, ensuring adherence to appropriate codes, designs, work methods, etc.
