We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cooling Tower Mechanic to join our team and help us continue delivering top-quality service to our customers in the Baltimore / Washington D.C. area!

Requirements

Previous experience as a Cooling Tower Mechanic or similar mechanical trade.
Strong knowledge of cooling tower systems, components, and operational principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools required for mechanical repairs.
OSHA certification or willingness to obtain one.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds on various makes and models of cooling towers.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, structural, and operational issues in cooling towers.
Install and replace cooling tower components, including motors, fans, gearboxes, belts, bearings, sheaves, drive shafts, couplings, and fill media.
Conduct complete cooling tower refurbishments, including basin repairs, drift eliminator replacements, and water distribution system upgrades.
Balance and align rotating equipment such as fans and motors to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct inspections and provide recommendations for preventive maintenance and necessary repairs.
Operate and maintain service vehicles, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
