About The Position

The Cooler Associate is a fast-paced warehouse role supporting the UHT Distribution Center by packing, moving, and loading product for timely delivery to customers. The position involves close teamwork and effective communication, and work in cold conditions, including temperatures of approximately 34 degrees. The role is based in Battle Creek, Michigan, in the UHT Warehouse department, and is supervised by a Supervisor. The schedule rotates between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.: work 3 days, off 3 days, work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days, then repeat. Pay is based on passing a mechanical aptitude test before the interview. Applicants must pass a physical, lift test, drug test, and background screening.

Requirements

Ability to work the rotating schedule from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Ability to work in cold temperatures, including approximately 34-degree conditions.
Ability to work closely with others and communicate effectively.
Must pass a mechanical aptitude test before the interview.
Must pass a physical, lift test, drug test, and background screening.
May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Execute warehouse department orders and package shipments.
Load and unload material onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
Pull stacks of product from refrigerated trailers and/or pallets.
Load stacks of product onto refrigerated route trucks.
Keep the load-out dock clean.
Complete varied tasks accurately and on time.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs, and quality standards.
Use available time effectively and prioritize demands to achieve results.
Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively.
Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making ability as needed.
Demonstrate proficiency in essential job tasks and willingness to learn.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
