About The Position
We are seeking enthusiastic and engaging After School Instructors to lead our Cooking & Nutrition and STEM programs for students in grades K-5. This role involves teaching hands-on classes, fostering creativity, and ensuring a safe and fun learning environment. The program runs from September to December 2026, with classes held on Mondays and Fridays.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a K-5 age range.
- Passion for Cooking & Nutrition and/or STEM education.
- Ability to manage a classroom and engage young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be available on Mondays and Fridays from September to December 2026.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching specific programs like Cooking & Nutrition, Pottery, BrickLAB, or Magic.
- Background in education or a related field.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct students in Cooking & Nutrition and STEM-related activities.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
- Manage classroom behavior and student engagement.
- Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues.
- Prepare materials and set up the classroom for each session.
- Clean up the classroom and equipment after each session.
