DREAM, formerly Harlem RBI, serves over 2,500 youth annually through its network of PreK-12 schools and sports-based youth development programs in East Harlem and the South Bronx. The organization focuses on rigorous academics, social-emotional learning, family engagement, and health and wellness to foster lifelong learners. DREAM has an ambitious plan to expand its impact and serve 3,500 students across seven schools. The After School Enrichment Specialists, reporting to the Dean of Student Life, are responsible for creating diverse learning experiences in artistic, cultural, or STEM activities for students in grades Pre-K to 8 within the REAL Kids and DreamBuilders programs. These classes aim to culminate in a collaborative project or performance. Previous enrichment activities have included Martial Arts, Hip-Hop Dance, Slam Poetry, Art Club, Robotics, STEM, and World Languages. Specialists conduct 45-minute sessions for groups of 18-20 students, supported by a Youth Worker.
