About The Position
UGM seeks a year-round full-time Children's Enrichment Specialist. This role involves planning and overseeing parent engagement activities and STEAM/literacy enrichment for children, ensuring their supervision, safety, and well-being. The specialist will implement Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and maintain a structured daily schedule in a trauma-sensitive learning environment with low staff-to-student ratios. Responsibilities include assisting with class rotations, student attendance, and incident reporting, while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working with students in an afterschool or early childhood education capacity.

- An Associates in a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plans and oversees implementation of parent engagement activities and STEAM / literacy enrichment activities while ensuring the supervision, safety, and the overall well-being of students served.
- Conduct reading and behavioral assessments.
- Implements Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) interventions across all phases of enrichment programming, under the direction of the Clinical Therapist and Enrichment Program Coordinator.
- Implements a structured and predictable daily schedule.
- Ensures low staff to student ratios promoting a trauma sensitive learning environment conducive to the needs of trauma affected students.
- Provide assistance with class rotation, restroom breaks, and taking student attendance.
- Monitors and reports student attendance.
- Adheres to low staff to student ratios to effectively promote a trauma sensitive learning environment conducive to the needs of trauma affected students.
- Assists the TCEP in meeting its quality improvement, evaluation, and reporting requirements.
- Maintains a high quality, safe, and healthy environment in adherence to TCEP Policy and Procedure
- Track, complete, and communicate all accidents and behavioral incidents with the Afterschool Program Director
