About The Position

The Cooker Operator is responsible for operating PLC to control machinery and monitoring pumps and grinders to ensure quality assurance. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, documentation of plant operations, and communication of any issues to the shift manager. The position involves cleaning duties, operating the cooking process within selected parameters, and attending all safety meetings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum two (2) years prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment required.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Works well with others in a team environment.
• Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate PLC to control machinery.
• Monitor pumps and grinders to ensure quality assurance.
• Blow grease lines as required.
• Clean up areas including shoveling the floor, hosing floors and machinery, and using wheelbarrows and PITs.
• Operate the cooking process within selected parameters.
• Document plant operations per the GMP program.
• Notify shift manager of any issues or maintenance problems.
• Attend all safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
