We are seeking a dependable, service-minded Cook to join our Culinary team. In this role, you will prepare tasty, appealing, high-quality meals for residents, employees, and guests while maintaining excellent standards for sanitation, safety, and presentation. The meals you prepare directly contribute to the well-being, satisfaction, and daily experience of the people we serve.

Requirements

  • ServSafe certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of cooking experience; short-order or institutional food service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of institutional kitchen appliances and safe food handling practices.
  • Ability to read, write, speak English, follow instructions, and perform basic math.
  • Strong customer service, communication, teamwork, and personal hygiene standards.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift or carry items up to 40 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and portion meals, salads, and desserts in accordance with resident dietary needs.
  • Follow food safety guidelines, sanitation procedures, and the “first in, first out” method.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and equipment.
  • Operate kitchen, dishwashing, and food service equipment safely and effectively.
  • Support a positive dining experience through quality food preparation and good customer service.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team that values residents, guests, and coworkers.
