About The Position
The Wilder Child Development Center is looking for someone that is passionate about health and providing appetizing, well balanced meals for our children from ages 16 months-5 years old. This is a part-time temporary position that we are looking to fill until October 30, 2026.
Requirements
- A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
- Ability to work in a child-centered environment.
- Knowledge of the CACFP requirements in respect to portion sizes, food production records.
- Serve Safe is required.
- One year experience cooking for and serving large groups of people required.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Must be computer literate.
- Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and web browsers effectively to complete essential functions.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team member with a diverse group of staff and clients.
Nice To Haves
- A Food Manager’s License is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serving healthy meals each day.
- Providing appetizing, well balanced meals for children from ages 16 months-5 years old.
- Menu planning.
- Meal tracking.
- Food ordering.
- Preparing culturally diverse meals that represent the clients and families at the center.
